A heavenly mixture of tender tilapia pieces, minced onion, tomato, and cilantro marinated in lime juice and served on a crisp corn tostada shell topped with fresh avocado slices. The fish is fresh, beautifully seasoned, and generously portioned, and the tortilla is the perfect crunchy accompaniment.
Las Americas Taqueria and Pupuseria – a Salvadorean market and restaurant best known for its pupusas – is about as unpretentious as it gets. But the quality of the ceviche on this truly outstanding tostada is the best I’ve had anywhere (including Peru!). What I can’t figure out is how they can afford to charge just two dollars for something that is made with such fresh and delicious ingredients!
